Ivan and Julie are faithful members of Chestnut Assembly of God and together co-lead the Young Adult Ministry. They have been married for 22 years and are proud parents of their 20-year-old son, Christian. Together they share a passion for guiding young adults in their faith journeys, building God-centered relationships, and walking confidently in their purpose.

Ivan serves as the Production Director and a Deacon at Chestnut Assembly of God. With over 25 years of experience in Worship Ministry, Marriage Ministry, and Church Leadership, including past service as a Director of Worship, he is committed to helping young adults pursue faith-filled relationships, spiritual growth, and purposeful preparation for marriage. Alongside Julie, Ivan provides guidance, mentorship, and leadership, fostering a solid foundation for young adults to thrive in both faith and life.

Julie has faithfully served in several ministry roles for over 25 years such as Young Adults, Women’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Missionettes, Sunday School, and Small Groups. She has completed Bible Institute training and is dedicated to creating a welcoming space where young adults can grow spiritually and find mentorship in their walk with God. Her experience equips her to inspire, encourage, and empower those around her.

Raised in New Jersey, Alex from Cumberland County and Blake from Essex County, Alex and Blake Byrd are devoted followers of Christ and active members of Chestnut Assembly of God. Together for over eight years, they are proud parents of three children and passionate about guiding others in their spiritual journeys.

Both Alex and Blake faced significant challenges in their early lives, including childhood traumas, addictions, and personal struggles. Through God’s love, grace, and discipline, they have overcome these obstacles and now use their experiences to inspire and empower others.

Alex has served in ministry since 2014, leading in areas such as Children’s Ministries and Young Adults, and emphasizes cultivating Godly relationships, personal growth, and daily spiritual discipline. Blake, active in leadership since 2017, has ministered to Women, Young Adults, and Youth, encouraging others to embrace their identity as children of God and to find healing and peace through His love.

Together, Alex and Blake share their testimonies to uplift, inspire, and guide others toward a deeper relationship with God, demonstrating that past struggles can become stepping-stones to purpose and spiritual fulfillment.

As a member of Chestnut Assembly of God, Tameca Faloye serves as a small-group ministry leader for those of us who are single for a season, by creating a space for fellowship, encouragement, and applying God’s Word to daily life. Tameca also serves on staff with Rutgers Chi Alpha in New Jersey, helping college students live on mission for Jesus through weekly life groups and discipleship. Tameca has a deep desire to see people walk in the fullness of all that God has for them—especially as they navigate and thrive in their single season.
